Natives of Kodiak is pleased to announce that Corey Gronn will be joining the Executive Leadership team as Vice President for Natives of Kodiak. In this role, he will oversee the corporation’s land efforts, cultural initiatives, shareholder benefits, and community engagement.
“It has been a privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for these past nine years and I am honored to continue serving Natives of Kodiak in this new capacity,” said Corey Gronn. “I look forward to working closely with the NOK team on implementing new customer service and operational initiatives that will improve NOK’s shareholder experience.”
For the past 12 years Corey has been employed as Director for the City of Kodiak’s Parks and Recreation Department. In that position he supervised 45 employees, oversaw a multi-million dollar budget as well as major capital projects, and spearheaded the development of new programs and initiatives that provided enhanced programs and services to the community.

Corey’s first day in his new role will be on January 27, 2025. The Board of Directors has announced that they will begin the recruitment process to fill the vacant board seat which is set to expire in September 2027.

Multiple applicants were considered, and the most qualified applicant, as determined by our selection criteria, was ultimately offered the position. Position will report to Natives of Kodiak, President & CEO.
