NOK Shareholders and registered Descendants are issued a unique NOK identification number and ID Card. This ID Card can be used for the Alutiiq Museum, land-use permits, and more. Please contact the NOK office if you do not have an NOK ID card.
NOK is a proud founder and ongoing supporter of the Alutiiq Museum in Kodiak. Explore over 7,500 years of Alutiiq/ Sugpiaq heritage, see ancestral artifacts, discover history, and learn how Alutiiq traditions continue. NOK Shareholders and Descendants receive free admission to the museum by showing your NOK ID Card.
NOK Shareholders, spouses and Descendants receive free land use permits as part of the Land Use Permit System, in partnership with Afognak Native Corporation (ANC) and Ouzinkie Native Corporation (ONC). This partnership simplifies permitting and land use rules for land on Kodiak Island, Afognak Island, Raspberry Island, Spruce Island and Whale Island. Whether you are hunting, berry picking, or simply going for a walk, we encourage you to complete a land use permit or carry your NOK ID Card.
The NOK Scholarship Program is designed to support and uplift the next generation of Shareholders and Descendants through educational opportunities. Created in loving memory of NOK Shareholders, this program honors their legacy by helping others move forward. Whether pursuing college, vocational training, or other educational goals, recipients are empowered to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
