Jon Panamaroff appointed Chairman of the Board

The Board of Directors of Natives of Kodiak has selected Jon Panamaroff to serve as its new Chairman of the Board. Jon will replace Corey Gronn who has accepted the position of Vice President of the Natives of Kodiak.

“I am honored that the Board has entrusted me with this important role as Chair and as I am handed over this role from Corey, it is with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for his years of leadership,” said Jon Panamaroff. “This is an important period in our history as a corporation. As we strive to continue building Natives of Kodiak, I look forward to working closely with my fellow board members and the Executive Leadership Team to strengthen our corporation and uphold the values and traditions which are the backbone of all that we do.”

Jon was first elected to Natives of Kodiak board in September 2023.  During that time, he has served on various board committees that include the Nominating, VXM, and the Governance Committee.  Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Command Holdings, the economic development arm of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Prior to joining Command Holdings, Jon held various positions at several Native-owned organizations including Koniag Government Services, the Kodiak Brown Bear Center, and as the Vice President at Native American Bank.

Jon holds bachelor’s degrees in both Business Administration and Psychology from Eastern Washington University as well as a Master of Public Administration. Additionally, he is working towards a doctorate degree in the Executive PhD program at the University of Denver’s Daniel College of Business and will defend his dissertation this spring.
